RIVERSIDE TRAIN STATION 

Since 1919, the Riverside Garden Club has been dedicated to enhancing the beauty of the Riverside Train Station and its surroundings. Over the past century, our club has nurtured the gardens around the station, including the Pollinator Garden on Oval Ave, the serene Japanese Garden adjacent to the station house, and the Dogwood Tree Garden to the east of the station house.

Twice a year, in spring and fall, our members gather to maintain and rejuvenate these gardens, a cherished tradition that has thrived for more than 100 years.

One of our proudest achievements, in 2018, was the planting of three pollinator gardens on the south side of the Train Station. These gardens not only beautify the area but also attract butterflies, bees, birds, and other essential pollinators. Throughout the years, we have continually added a diverse array of flowers to support various pollinator species, trimmed back grasses and dogwood trees, and removed invasive weeds to create a welcoming environment for the community.
