How to join the Riverside Garden Club?
Coming to one of our meetings is probably the easiest way to start the process. You will meet our friendly members and check out our diverse program. Potential members are asked to attend at least two meetings before applying for membership to ensure it is a good fit for both you and the Club. What are the dues?
The program year for the club runs from July to the following June. The annual dues are $80, collected by June 1st each year. Dues for Members who join after December 31st are $40, collected upon election to the club. In addition, we encourage new members to purchase the Handbook for Flower Shows at a cost of $27.50 (which is the amount charged to us by the National Garden Clubs).
What do you expect to do as a member?
We recognize that everyone has to juggle many commitments. Our hope is that each member will participate by joining one of the committees, engaging in our civic projects, and helping with or contributing to our monthly hospitality. Although not required, we also encourage members to submit an exhibit, twice or more a year, in the Horticulture and/or Floral Design challenges.
