FLORAL DESIGN
Design Theme: Flower & Verse
All members are encouraged to enter two designs at monthly meetings during the club year: sign-ups are done through the website on Sign-Up Genius. Anyone not scheduled is always welcome to enter a design. Just go to the tab, Sign-Up and click to review your options. Design is divided into Blue Ribbon and Novice Classes. A Novice is a member who has never won a First or an award in a higher class at any monthly meetings or in any flower show. Once a Novice wins one First, they may choose to move up to Blue Ribbon Class, however once a Novice wins two Firsts they are automatically promoted to Blue Ribbon Class.
The purpose if exhibiting at monthly meetings is to help members learn and understand the elements and principles of good design through practice. Judge’s comments are intended to help with this and should be taken as positive criticism. Points for design are given towards club awards which are presented annually at the June Luncheons. Centerpieces are awarded points, but not judged.
