CIVIC
Riverside Garden Club has for over a century provided support to its community: from helping to establish the Greenwich Botanical Center for the benefit of all the garden clubs in Greenwich to displaying plants, flowers and seasonal planters at Perrot Library and the Hill House Senior Residence to its on-going support since 1919 of the Riverside Train Station.
On Riverside Garden Club's centennial the three gardens at Riverside Train Station were redone in conjunction with Riverside Association. The Native Garden on the north side now has Dogwood Trees, Winterberry and Red Twig Dogwood Shrubs. Also on the north side, there is a Japanese Garden with simple lines to create serenity. On the south side, the Pollinator Garden was created to help the next generation of pollinators by planting native plants and flowers that attract birds, bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
